We recognize that each patient is unique, and so the way you need to be adjusted will be different from the next patient. That is why Dr. Prom is trained in many different techniques and will use what works best for you.
He uses Manual/Diversified adjustments, Thompson drop table technique and Impulse Instrument adjusting depending on your needs and which technique will allow you to respond quickest. If needed he will adjust not just your spine, but also shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and ankles.
Massage is often very helpful in your recovery, because it allows your muscles to relax and return to their normal tone and function. Our massage therapists specialize in injury treatment, whether it is deep tissue massage or a lighter touch in acute injuries. They will customize your care to your needs. Our therapists will also assist in stretching muscles as needed and showing you stretches that you can do at home to accelerate your recovery.
Just as each patient is a unique individual, we may use various modalities based on your needs.
Electric Muscle Stimulation is often used to reduce sharp pain and relax muscles. Low Level Laser
Therapy (cold laser) is used to accelerate the healing of injured ligaments and muscles. Ultrasound is
used to relax and eliminate triggerpoint knots in muscles that are otherwise painful to the touch.
Traction therapy is most often used to reduce disc bulges which cause radiating pain into the
arms or legs. By using this distraction technique on the vertebrae of your neck or low back, it takes
pressure off compressed nerves and reduces or eliminates the pain.
Often this therapy has saved patients from having to undergo surgery. Traction of the neck is
often helpful in reducing or eliminating headaches as well.
