    Fairview Cold Laser Therapy

One of the unique tools we used at Springwater Chiropractic is infrared laser therapy.  This is sometimes called cold laser therapy or low level laser therapy because it doesn’t heat up the skin and is different than a surgical laser.  It uses a specific frequency of infrared light to accelerate tissue repair.

Just as plants use the green spectrum of light for photosynthesis, it has been shown that tissue heals faster when exposed to a specific frequency of infrared light.  Often we will use the infrared laser therapy for whiplash injuries if we identify ligament damage to the neck.

We also use infrared laser therapy for certain sports injuries where muscle tissue has been torn or following surgery to accelerate the healing over incisions and to reduce pain. Infrared laser therapy is also used to help in

    • Muscle Strain
    • Soft Tissue Injuries
    • Tendonitis
    • Plantar Fasciitis
    • Tennis Elbow
    • Back Pain
    • Bursitis
    • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
    • Fibromyalgia
    • Wound Healing

    Fairview Electrical Muscle Stimulation

Electrical muscle stimulation is a physical therapy modality that uses electrical current to stimulate and strengthen muscle tissue that has been weakened by disuse or injury.

    Fairview Therapeutic Ultrasound

Therapeutic ultrasound is different than diagnostic ultrasound – the idea isn’t to see inside you but to use ultrasound signals to stimulate and warm your muscle tissue, promoting circulation and healing.
